Mais um dos pontos altos da nossa Missão Indian Experience, foi o encontro com o grande astro de Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, no dia 01 de fevereiro.
O Sr. Amitabh Bachchan é uma das maiores estrelas de Bollywood, a qual é a maior indústria cinematográfica do mundo, com uma média de mais de mil filmes por ano. Bachchan é um dos principais atores indianos, tendo obtido sucesso após sua participação no programa Kaun Banega Crorepati. Além disso atuou em filmes de grande sucesso na Índia, como Anand (1970) e Namak Haram (1973), conquistou National Award por sua participação em Agneepath (1990) e atuou em The Great Gatsby (2013).
Foi um encontro super agradável, onde o Sr. Bachchan nos contou um pouco mais sobre os últimos filmes, as últimas produções que ele participou, contou também sua experiência gravando um filme de Hollywood, o Grande Gatsby, e as diferenças de trabalhar e gravar em Bollywood e Hollywood. Ele também pontuou o potencial da relação no setor de áudio visual entre a Índia e o Brasil.
Contamos para ele as iniciativas dos Consulados da Índia em Minas Gerais e Rio de Janeiro como também da Câmara de Comércio Índia Brasil, na realização de grandes festivais para promover Bollywood e ele se colocou à disposição como sempre de nos auxiliar nas próximas iniciativas de promoção dos filmes indianos no Brasil.
One of the highlights of our Indian Experience Mission was the meeting with Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan on February 1st.
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood, which is the largest film industry in the world, with an average of more than 1,000 films a year. Bachchan is one of the main Indian actors, having obtained success after his participation in the program Kaun Banega Crorepati. He also starred in films such as Anand (1970) and Namak Haram (1973), won the National Award for his role in Agneepath (1990) and starred in The Great Gatsby (2013).
It was a very enjoyable meeting, where Mr. Bachchan told us a little more about the latest films, the latest productions that he participated in, also told about his experience recording a Hollywood movie, the Great Gatsby, and the differences of working and recording in Bollywood and Hollywood. He also pointed out the potential of the relationship in the visual audio industry between India and Brazil.
We counted on him the initiatives of the Consulates of India in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro as well as the Chamber of Commerce of India Brazil, in the realization of great festivals to promote Bollywood and he made available to us as always to help us in the next initiatives of promotion of the Indian films in Brazil.
